I painted this after a church service talking about the Resurrection of Christ Jesus and the Rapture soon to come. The Heart represents Jesus' love. It's been handed around, dirtied by hands, crumpled, abused and treated in every disrespectful way you can imagine. It was freely available to everyone. But the day will come when it is taken away, when the door will be closed and when there will no longer be any chance of salvation. This painting is about that day when love is taken away. Those left will be doomed to eternal damnation in hell, darkness and torment. On that day they will be reaching for God but they never knew him or took the opportunity of salvation that He offered when it was available. There will still be some holding others back, represented by the one hand grasping the other pulling it down and there will still be some pointing in the wrong direction saying look there is the salvation or over here is God. They missed it when it was available and they are still missing it. The yellow haze at the top of the painting represents heaven and where God's love will reside for ever from this point on and where all those that have confessed the name of Jesus as their Lord and savior will be living from now on. No longer in the world of confusion and darkness but in the light and love of God.

And so we will always be with the Lord. 18Therefore encourage one another with these words.…
